Vyvanse vs Adderall

Many people use Vyvanse and Adderall help to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Both are stimulants called amphetamines. They work by raising levels of chemicals in your brain, called dopamine and norepinephrine, that help you focus and control your impulses and pay attention to your work ethic.

The drug Adderall contains four different types of amphetamines. Such as;

1. Dextroamphetamine saccharate
2. Amphetamine aspartate
3. Dextroamphetamine sulfate
4. Amphetamine sulfate

It is easy to call these mixed amphetamine salts or MAS shorts.

Vyvanse is the brand name for lisdexamfetamine. Once lisdexamfetamine is inside the body, it becomes dextroamphetamine (its active form) as soon as it touches red blood cells. Because Adderall and Vyvanse both contain amphetamines, they work similarly, and that is by blocking the reuptake of two neurotransmitters (chemical substances that help nerves talk to each other) in the body.

These neurotransmitters are called norepinephrine and dopamine. By blocking their reuptake, the levels of these neurotransmitters between nerves are increased, which helps relieve inattention and agitation in children and adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

ADHD is a mental health disorder with difficulty paying attention, hyperactivity, and impulsive behavior.

Differences Between Vyvanse and Adderall

Vyvanse and Adderall are both a type of stimulants, so they work in much the same way. Stimulating the nervous system and increasing the number of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain.

Adderall has been around longer than Vyvanse. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved Adderall in 1996 and approved Adderall XR, a longer-acting everyday formulation of the same chemical compounds.

The Vyvanse was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2007.

One of the major differences between Vyvanse and Adderall is that Vyvanse is less likely to be misused than Adderall. Because it is manufactured to have a slower chemical release, allowing for once-every-day dosing.

Both Adderall and Vyvanse have been approved to treat health issues other than ADHD:

  1. Vyvanse: FDA-approved for treating binge eating disorders.
  2.  Adderall: The administration was approved to help treat a sleep disorder called narcolepsy.

Similarities Between Vyvanse and Adderall

Both Adderall and Vyvanse are central nervous system stimulation drugs. Each is a doctor-prescribed medication to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. These drugs are derivatives of amphetamines.

The extra time the body takes from Robert Vyvanse to dextroamphetamine tends to make the side effects less pronounced, but the side effects of each of these drugs are very similar. They include anxiety, sleepiness, digestive issues, and some other problems.

Both Vyvanse and Adderall have the potential to cause additional withdrawal symptoms, so a doctor should be consulted before using either drug.

Which One Is The Best Medication For ADHD?

Everyone has different reactions to different medications. Your medical consultant can help you with the drug that is right for you based on your individual medical history and needs. If you plan to choose which medicine to take, you should not do this before consulting your doctor.

However, the medical expert in an analysis of the effectiveness of Adderall says that this medicine was found to be significantly effective for symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and aggression. A clinical study of Adderall XR showed significant improvement over placebo in terms of behavior, attention, and hyperactivity.

According to some clinical drug investigation reports, Vyvanse is a very beneficial drug for children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD. Whereas in some reports, Vyvanse was found to be useful in preventing relapse of binge-eating disorder. Only 3.7% of Vyvanse patients were replaced, compared to 32.15 of patients taking a placebo.

Vyvanse and Adderall have been shown to be effective in treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The biggest differences between these two drugs are as follows:

1. The form of drug
2. How often do you take them?
3. Their potential for misuse

Work with your pharmacist to choose the best medication for you or your child. Selecting the right ADHD drug is sometimes a matter of trial and error. So, you should consult with your pharmacist about switching to a second drug if the first drug does not work or presents too many side effects.
